A single architectural detail became an entire underwater composition. Inspired by a trapezoidal window in the residence, this custom pool mosaic uses repeating geometric forms and carefully balanced shades of glass to create the illusion of sculpted depth. Beneath the water, the pool floor appears to unfold into a field of three-dimensional cubes.

We developed the pattern for the existing pool shell, adjusting its proportions to the floor contours and testing colors underwater. Designed, manufactured and installed , the composition preserves the reflections of the negative edge and Lautner edge while revealing its geometry through the water.
